I have a deadline. It is big. I am going to be paid big. It is due. I have to do it. No one is going to do it for me. That is why I got the idea for a children's book, a short youth play for church use (I don't even attend regularly these days), and written several clever emails. I wrote a fake recipe for a chain letter recipe club, a dissertation on home schooling, a cheerleading email to my fellow composer who has a big gig tomorrow and I hiked up the hills by my house. I stopped just short of cleaning my closet and sending out invitations to a Christmas party at my house that would require me to clean the whole house and put up our art work. I would not be blogging now, but I came across this quote and I want to make sure as many people get to laugh at it as possible.
"Outside of a dog, a book is probably man's best friend, and inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."
Speaking of quotes, I recently saw a lovely quote on my home school group. "when I am heard, I feel loved" I read it three times before I saw it that way. I read it as "when I am heard, I feel loud".
That is me on so many levels. I would stop to ponder that but I might decide to read a book or buy a dog. God forbid I get busy writing.
